Camp NeeKauNis

Camp NeeKauNis is run entirely by volunteers. This means we are always looking for people, both young and old, to work as staff at camp. Positions typically include: Kitchen Staff, Choreperson, Child Care, Program Staff, Cabin Leaders, Arts and Crafts Leaders. There are two weekends (spring & fall) and one full week in spring/early summer dedicated to camp cleaning and maintenance. Some construction/renovation activities will allow us to teach a volunteer various skills. Camp is always looking for adults to fill the following leadership roles: Camp Directors, Head Cooks, Work Project Leaders.

Volunteers are matched up with families along with our staff as Special Friends and help our families have an unforgettable time. This is a sleepover program, volunteers stay in our counselor accommodations and are asked to arrive the day before camp starts for training and orientation. Room and board are provided.

The a volunteer in the education department will assist with the following activities: 
· General program preparation, readying crafts and other program materials for delivery 
· Data entry 
· Assisting with mass mail-outs, copying material and envelope stuffing 
· Program set up and take down
World Vision Canada, Special Events Program
Varies, includes Midland, Callander, Huntsville, Orillia and Alliston
*Volunteer at a World Vision booth 
*Answering questions from the public 
*Helping to sign up new sponsors
