| Description (Service) | Helpline and services for Women survivors of sexual assault including: Referral and advocacy * counselling * crisis concerns * drop-in program * court, police, or hospital accompaniment services * public education Sexual Assault Therapy program - holistic recovery for women, 16 years and up, and their families offering: crisis intervention * individual and group therapy * Community education and referrals * Consultation with other stakeholders Sexual Assault Intervention for Living (SAIL) program - individual and group psychotherapy utilizing cognitive behavioural approaches and trauma intervention * Women begin the long term counselling program attending SAIL 1 - 3 workshops in which you are not required to give your name or information in the workshop - this leads into the therapy programs Regular drop-ins available for all women, providing speakers, crafts, networking opportunities, etc.: Daisy Chain Drop In held in South River at Chalmers United Church - most Thursdays 10-12 noon Parry Sound Womyn's Drop In held at 17 James St. Parry Sound - most Wednesdays, 10-12 noon Survivor to Survivor Peer Mentorship program - Women 16+ survivors of sexual assault may be matched with a Survivor Mentor for individual support in her own community * If you would like a mentor contact either office or Jeanine Spring at 705 783-8882 |
