Description
Description (Service) | Breast screening for early detection of breast cancer. Mammography screening results are sent to both the patient and the patient's primary care provider. Patients who receive normal results are automatically recalled for their next screening appointment. Patients who receive abnormal results are referred to their doctor for further investigation or are referred directly for additional tests. The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) is administered by Cancer Care Ontario through its regional cancer centres. |

Eligibility | Women, Two-Spirit, trans and non-binary people ages 40-74 with no previous history of breast cancer or acute symptoms and have not had a screening mammogram within the last 11 months. People with implants are eligible for the OBSP program as well. |
Application | Call for appointment. No physician referral required for people 40-74 years of age if above eligibility criteria are met. |
